There are seasons in life where nothing feels certain. You question your direction, your purpose, and sometimes even yourself. Feeling lost can be deeply unsettling, but it is not unfamiliar to God. In fact, some of the most powerful stories in the Bible begin in places of uncertainty. Even in your confusion, God is not absent. He is present and guiding.
God Sees the Path You Cannot See
When you feel lost, it is often because you cannot see what comes next. But God’s perspective is not limited as ours is. As Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Your lack of clarity does not mean a lack of direction; it simply means you are being asked to trust.
You Are Not Wandering Without Purpose
Feeling lost does not mean you are without purpose. Sometimes, God uses uncertain seasons to shape you, grow you, and prepare you. Isaiah 30:21 says, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” Even when you feel unsure, God is still leading.
Take the Next Small Step
You do not need to have everything figured out today. Often, God reveals the path one step at a time. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” A lamp does not show the entire journey; it shows just enough for the next step. And that is enough.
If you feel lost today, know this: you are not alone, and you are not forgotten. God is guiding you, even now. Trust Him with the unknown, and take your next step in faith.
